I currently facilitate two SMART meetings on Monday nights:

Standard Meeting:  Mondays 4:00 to 5:00

SMART Recovery is an evidence-based community support group for those who are struggling with addictive behavior, including drugs, alcohol, food, or gambling.

We use SMART’s four point system to practice specific skills related to:  1) building and maintaining motivation, 2) coping with urges, 3) managing thoughts and feelings, 4) lifestyle balance.

Please come join us to gain support and practice skills to strengthen your recovery.

This group is from the perspective of the person directly struggling with, or in recovery from, addictive behavior. All are welcome to attend.

Family & Friends:  Mondays 5:30 to 6:30

SMART Recovery Family & Friends is an evidence-based community support group for those who are effected by the addictive behavior of a loved one.

Please come join us to gain support, understanding, and tools to help you navigate your particular situation.

This group is from the perspective of the family member or friend of a loved one engaged in, or in recovery from, addictive behavior. All are welcome to attend.

Both groups meet at The Alano Club, 909 NW 24th Street, Portland Oregon. We meet in the Clockroom on the first floor. We do aim to start on time, but please feel free to open the door and join us if you are running late.

Both meetings are open to the public. There is no fee for attending either group, but a hat is passed for donations. If you are not able to donate, please do not let that stop you from attending...your presence is a contribution in and of itself!

Parking is available on the street, or you may purchase a permit from the Alano Club to access their parking lot.

The Alano Club is located at the corner of NW 24th Ave and NW Kearney, and is served by bus lines 18, 15, and the Portland Street Car.
